Terre Haute, In. – Two new Hotels are being planned for Downtown terre Haute near the Convention Center. Terminal Hotel Partners LLC, a partnership between businessman Greg Gibson and Tim Dora, president of Dora Hotel Company were awarded the construction project in July. The project will include a Courtyard by Marriott, a Residence Inn, ground-level parking and possibly skywalks to the parking garage across Wabash Avenue and the Hilton Garden Inn across North Seventh Street. Before construction can begin the old Vigo County School Headquarters building at 7th and Wabash must be torn down. Demolition should begin in late November. Terminal Hotel Partners says they hope construction will begin in the second quarter of next year.
