Vermillion County. In. –The Vermillion County Commissioners have proposed a county ordinance that could block Wabash Valley Resources Co2 pipeline through the county.  The state has already provided guidance and regulations, the county may not have legal standing to block the pipeline. The ordinance is currently being reviewed by the Vermillion County Circuit Court.  The court will decide if county ordinances can trump Indiana code, specifically surrounding state regulations that pertain to these types of Co2 projects. If the court decides the county can implement the ordinance Wabash Valley Resources is prepared for litigation.
