Terre Haute, In. – The City of Terre Haute announced that beginning in 2025 bus fares on the City Buses will be eliminated.  The public will ride free.  Mayor Sakbun said that eliminating the fares was an easy decision to make. He said the city has the funding and other cities, of similar size offer free bus service. Games revenue from the Casino will be used to make up the income loss from the bus system.  ISU President Mike Goddard says the university will be increasing its support of the bus system by 10%.  He says a frees bus system is a plus for students.
