Terre Haute, In, In. – The Vigo County School Board has approved a new Aviation Academy to be available to students next year. The School Corporation will partner with Terre Haute Regional Airport for this program. Students participating in this program will not learn to fly, they will learn operations and how to perform maintenance on aircraft. Aviation officials say that aircraft maintenance is in high demand. With a program such as this student don’t need to go to college to get a good job. The Vigo County School Corporations Aviation Academy comes as the aviation industry is facing a shortage of workers.
