Carbon, In. – Sunday night Parke County Deputies were called to investigate an accident in the area of Jeffries Ford Road and Deer Run Road.  When they arrived, they found a car in a ditch full of water.  The driver of the car, 71-year-old Phyllis Clark of Carbon was in the car and had to be rescued from the water by the first responders. Clark was transported to Union hospital for treatment of injuries she sustained in the accident.
