Edgar County Illinois – Friday morning Edgar County, Illinois Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to East 1575th Road on a report of a trespasser. When they arrived they encounters and man with a rifle. An armed confrontation occurred between the subject and the deputies. During the confrontation one of the deputies shot at and hit the man. He was airlifted to a hospital in Champaign for treatment.  The Illinois State Polise are investigating.
