Vigo County, In. – Tuesday afternoon State Police Troopers were patrolling Interstate 70 near Indianapolis when they spotted a silver Lexus that had been reported stolen.  They attempted to stop the car, but the driver fled west on I-70 at speeds reaching over 100 mph. The car was tracked through several counties during the chase by a State Police Helicopter. The driver avoided stop sticks in Clay County.  Another attempt to stop the car with stop sticks was successful in Vigo County.  The driver was apprehended and identified as 44-year-old Benjamin Lewis of Jasonville. Lewis was checked out at the hospital after complaining of being in pain.  He is now lodged in the Vigo County jail where he is being held on bond.
