Several Open Vigo Co. Government Seats Filled After Republican Caucuses

Vigo County, In. – Several people were sworn in to fill vacant republican seats in Vigo County Saturday after being voted in during a series of caucuses and meetings. Randy Gentry was selected to fill the open seat on the Vigo County Council that became vacant after Travis Norris was elected Coroner in November.  Gentry is also the Vigo County Republican chair. Also on Saturday Jennifer Norris assumed the open seat of Riley Township advisory board member, Dusty Havens assumed the role of Honey Creek Township advisory board member. and Stephen Kerr was appointed to the position of Prairie Creek trustee. All candidates were sworn-in by Vigo County Clerk LeAnna Moore and assumed their roles effective immediately.
