Terre Haute, In. – A law suit has been filed against Indiana State University by the ACLU on behalf of the Terre Haute Pride Center. The law suit was filed after the 2025 Pride Fest was not allowed to held on campus. The Pride Fest has been held on campus in 2023 and 2024. The Pride Center says ISU made plans for the event to happen off campus without consulting with them. The ACLU says this is a violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution and of campus policy. The Pride Center says it’s crucial for the event to take place on campus to remain visible for students. ISU will not comment on pending lawsuits.
