
Terre Haute, In. – Shortly after 10am a customer at Top Guns suffered a serious accidental gunshot wound. When sheriff Deputies arrived on the scene employees at Top Guns had applied 2 tourniquets on the victim to slow the blood loss. The Deputies assisted in removing the victim’s garments and boot to better treat him until EMT’s arrived and took over treatment. After interviewing the Top Guns staff, it was determined that the 70-year-old victim was holstering his personal 9mm handgun when it caught on the holster snap and discharged. The bullet entered the man’s upper thigh and exited through his calf. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
