
Parke County, In. Parke County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report Wednesday afternoon of a man taking items from an outbuilding on County Road 650 North near Waveland. The suspect fled in a black Audi and was spotted by deputies on State Road 47. The suspect pulled into a gas station where deputies approached him, he took off on foot. The deputies chased the man into Turkey Run State Park where he fell through the ice when he attempted to cross Sugar Creek. When he emerged, he was taken into custody. The suspect was identified as Kenneth R. Taylor of Pendleton and the car he was driving was reported stolen from Cloverdale and it was filled with several items stolen from different residences, including firearms, according to the sheriff’s office. Taylor was booked into the Parke County Jail and charged with burglary, possession of stolen property, auto theft, and resisting law enforcement. Taylor is being held with no bond.
