Terre Haute, In. – The Astronauts aboard the International Space Station are all Amateur Radio operators or Hams. Through NASA children’s organizations can set up a schedule to talk to the Astronauts with the assistance of local Ham Radio clubs.  That Club in Terre Haute is the Wabash Valley Amateur Radio Association.  Laurel Tincher, the Program Manager, of the Children’s Museum contacted the club and started the ball rolling.  The club will install an antenna on top of the Candlewood Suites Hotel, next to the museum that will track the Space Station during a ten-minute window as it moves across the sky. An exact date and time for the event has not been set but they hope it will sometime between July and December.
