Terre Haute, In. – Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun announced that the Mayors Youth Council has reached its goal of $35,000 for new playground equipment at Coy Park.  Coy Park is located at the corner of 16th Street and Barbour Avenue.  project was announced in early February and the council had until Friday to raise $35,000, which the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority will match through its CreatINg Places program. The new playground will be handicap accessible. Its chief attraction is a sensory dome, which provides auditory, visual or tactile experiences. The goal is to build the playground this year.
