Terre Haute, In. – In a plea agreement Montez Ellington Jr. Pleaded guilty to the murder of 15-year-old Chloe Carroll outside a gas station in Terre Haute in July of 2021.  The terms of the plea agreement are Ellington Jr. will plead guilty to murder and is expected to serve 45 years at the Indiana Department of Corrections. In Indiana, a murder charge carries anywhere from 45-65 years in prison. The prosecutor’s office consulted with the Carroll family before accepting the plea deal.  The family agreed to the terms of the deal.
