INDIANAPOLIS — Severe weather is returning this weekend across the state. Today, we’re starting off mostly dry and cloudy, with temperatures in the lower 40s and upper 30s, so don’t forget that coat! Winds will stay light and variable.

This afternoon, the clouds will start thickening up, and you’ll likely see a few spotty showers as a boundary approaches. We’ll hit highs in the upper 50s, with plenty of dry time in between, and southwest winds around 5-10 mph.

Tonight, the showers will pick up, and storms will move in later on, bringing heavier rain, gusty winds, and some lightning. These storms are tied to a warm front, pushing our temps into the 70s by Friday afternoon. Expect sunshine to return, but also some gusty winds up to 35 mph throughout the day.
