Vigo County, In. – The Vigo County Health Dept. has announced that once again this year Vigo County residents can discard old tires April 1st through May 2nd.  The health department says tires are a prime breeding site for mosquitoes. When tires lay around, they fill up with water which is a perfect spot for mosquitoes to lay eggs.  Last year the health Dept. Collected 4 semi trailer loads of old tires. The tire drop off is free to Vigo County residents, but you must make an appointment to drop them off by calling 812-234-9181.  You can find that number with this story on our website and Facebook page.
