
Terre Haute, In. – On Wednesday the Wabash Valley Foundation handed out over $134,000 in grants to nine local non-profit organizations. Nine local non-profits received a financial boost on Wednesday. The United Way of the Wabash Valley says they plan on using their grant money to support their down payment assistance program that helps with the down payment and closing costs that might prohibit families from buying a home. The grants are made possible by numerous endowments. The full list of Wednesday’s grant recipients is below:
American Red Cross – $2,500
City of Terre Haute – $10,000
Crossroads of America Council – Boy Scouts – $10,000
Indiana American Academy of Pediatrics – $15,000
SHINE Foster Family Resources – $4,900
Terre Haute Children’s Museum – $25,000
Terre Haute Symphony Association – $5,000
United Way of the Wabash Valley – $24,000
Wabash Valley Master Gardeners – $17,640
