Vigo County, In. – Wednesday afternoon Vigo County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the Dollar General on North Clinton Road on an armed robbery report.  The report said an individual with a knife was last seen walking south on Clinton Road pushing shopping cart of unpaid for merchandise. He was spotted by a Deputy who exited his patrol car and gave verbal commands to the suspect who ignored the Deputy.  A Taser was used to try and stop the man which resulted in the man getting physical with the deputy striking him in the face. Other deputies arrived and the suspect was taken into custody.  The injured deputy was taken to the hospital for treatment.  The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Kibwe Maloba.  He is charged with Robbery, Battery against Public Safety Official, Resisting law enforcement, Theft and Criminal Mischief.
