Vigo County, In. – Wednesday the Vigo County Council approved the mandate to raise the salaries of Vigo County Court employees.  The Mandate was issued by the Vigo County Judges in October of last year.  The Council did not act on the mandate until a special mediator was appointed by the Indiana Supreme Court.  The council will increase the 2025 base salaries by a total of $199,000. This includes court reporters, administrators, receptionists, and office managers are all entitled for raises. This puts Vigo County in line with other counties in the state. The next step for the council will be making the appropriations which will be presented at a Vigo County Council meeting.
