Brazil, In. – On Tuesday July 9th the Clay County Courthouse was hit by a ransomware cyber-attack on the county’s computer system. The attack forced the shut down most of the county government offices forcing the County Commissioners to issue a disaster declaration. It was announced Thursday that the declaration will be extended another 7 days. The state has set up a website to keep the public updated on Clay County’s status.
