Terre Haute, In. – The Vigo County School Board has approved a resolution to create an “Inland Casino Fund” to manage the tax revenue the Vigo County School Corp. receives from the Terre Haute Casino.  The first disbursement of the casino tax revenue to the schools was $138,601. The plan is to use a portion of the money to provide all students with all sporting event athletic passes that students can use at all home games. They also plan to use the revenue to support the fine arts program and other co-curricular activities.  The school corporation expects another Casino Tax disbursement later this year.
