Vigo County, In. – The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office reports that an ambulance from Parke County was involved in a traffic accident around 7:30 yesterday morning.  The ambulance was southbound on U.S. 41 near Head Ave. with it’s lights and siren activated when it attempted to go around a southbound vehicle on the left.  As it did the driver of the car also moved left and the ambulance crashed into the rear of the vehicle.  A member of the ambulance crew was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  A Trans-Care ambulance from Terre Haute was dispatched to take the Parke County Ambulance patient on to Union Hospital.
