Brazil, In. – The trial of Michael Sheppard has been set for February 10th in Clay County. Sheppard was arrested for attacking a woman with a hatchet last October. He has been charged with attempted murder, resisting law enforcement, and intimidation. The attack happened after Sheppard left the courthouse following a hearing on a protective order the victim was attempting to get against him. Sheppard was accused entering her home, fought with her mother, and attempted to make contact with a child then attacked the victim with a hatchet while wearing a wolf mask. When police arrived, Sheppard attempted to kill himself and asked the police to kill him.
