Indiana State University Names New General Counsel

Terre Haute, In. – Indiana State University has appointed Attorney J.D. Lux as it’s new general Council.  Lux has experience including public service and private law practice spanning over 30 years. Most recently, he served as university counsel at Auburn University, providing legal guidance on a broad range of higher education matters. Before that, he spent more than a decade as legal counsel to Ivy Tech Community College, where he held key roles such as college counsel, assistant secretary to the board of trustees and counsel to the Ivy Tech Foundation. He succeeds Joyce Thompson-Mills at I.S.U. who served as executive director of legal services since 2022.
