Vigo County. In. – Due to the dry windy conditions the Vigo County Commissioners have issued a county wide burn ban until Monday, March 17th. They say they will reassess the situation then.  The types of fires prohibited during the burn ban include campfires and other recreational fires, unless enclosed in a fire ring, open burning of any kind using conventional fuel such as wood or other combustible matter, with the exception of grills fueled by charcoal briquettes or propane, The burning of debris, such as timber or vegetation, including debris that results from building construction activities.
