TERRE HAUTE, Ind – A man accused of killing a Terre Haute woman was in court this morning.
55-year-old Kenneth Pitts Jr. is accused of killing 77-year-old Alice “Anita” Oswald last fall and then dumping her body in a rural county pond.
An autopsy showed Oswald died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Pitts then fled the area and was later found at a Nevada camp ground last month.
He was brought back to Vigo County this past weekend.
In court a trial date was set for December 10th.
