VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Earlier this week, Indiana State Senator Jon Ford presented, retiring Vigo County School Corporation superintendent Dr. Danny Tanoos with a Circle of Corydon Award.

The Circle of Corydon Award honors Hoosiers who have made remarkable contributions to the betterment of Indiana and its people, demonstrating through life and service qualities exemplified by the state’s greatest citizens.

Tanoos became interim superintendent in July 1998 and has served as superintendent of VCSC since February 1999. He will retire July 1 after a nearly 40-year career with VCSC.
