PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind – A Wednesday morning crash on I-70 in Putnam County is being blamed on a semi driver falling asleep.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s office says that the driver fell asleep and went off the north side of the interstate at the 44-mile marker in the westbound lanes.

The truck struck a guard rail and then jackknifed into the ditch.

The fully loaded trailer broke free and rolled on its side. Both the truck and trailer were heavily damaged.

Miraculously, nobody was injured.
