Kentucky Man Arrested In Connection To Terre Haute Shooting

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Terre Haute Police say that an arrest has been made in connection to a shooting that happened last week.

Around 2:30 a.m. on September 7th police were called out to a shooting at 1535 Elm Street.

When officers arrived they found 48 year old Ronnie Cladwell of Terre Haute inside the residence and bleeding from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers say that the homeowner, 67 year old Michael C. Dixon, was arrested on preliminary charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Investigators have now arrested 25 year old Zavius E. King, of Louisville, Kentucky on charges of Attempted Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon.

Detectives say that King returned to Kentucky and contacted law enforcement in the Louisville area.  Yesterday he was taken into custody for this warrant and an unrelated charge in the State of Kentucky.

Investigators are now working to extradite King back to Vigo County.
