VIGO COUNTY, Ind – A Terre Haute man was sentenced after pleading guilty to felony charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.

47 year old Vernon Lee Eversole was sentenced to eight years in prison for a firearms violation connected to the October 2017 shooting death of 34-year-old David Carroll in the 4400 block of North 18th Street.

Ashley Lynn Johnson had been charged with murder, robbery, possession of methamphetamine in that case and also accepted a plea deal.
