TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Police are reminding you that its that time of year where deer are going to be on the move more than any other time of the year.
Experts say there several reasons why deer are more active beginning in October.
Troopers remind you to be extra careful if you are an early morning driver or drive after dark and that trying to avoid a deer that jumps out in front of you too quickly can create more danger.
Officers say that over correcting can cause your vehicle to possibly or strike a tree.
If you hit a deer make sure to take car of any injuries first and move your vehicle out of the road way so you aren’t hit by another motorist.
Then call 911 to report your accident.
