INDIANA – County by county unemployment numbers for October were released for all Indiana counties on Monday.
Again the Wabash Valley Counties took half of the top 10 positions with Vermillion County with the highest unemployment rate in the state at 5.3%.
Vigo County was next highest in the Valley in 4th position overall at 4.6%.
Unemployment rates for other counties in the Valley:
Greene County was in 6th, Owen County 7th, and Sullivan County 8th all with unemployment rates at 4.5%
Clay County was in 17th at 4%
Parke County was in 22nd place at 3.9%
Putnam County was in 33rd at 3.7%
The lowest unemployment rate in the state was in Tipton County at 2.6%.
