INDIANA – For the first time in months a Wabash Valley county is not at the top of the list for unemployment, but several local counties are in the top 10.

Howard County has the highest unemployment rate in the state at 8.3%.

Vermillion County has been at the top for several months this year but in November fell to third place with an unemployment rate of 5.2%.

Greene County was 6^th at 4.9%, Sullivan County was 10^th at 4.9% the same as Vigo County which placed 11^th.

Parke County was 19^th at 4.1% followed by Clay County in 20^th at 4.0%.

Putnam County was 46^th at 3.6%.

Dubois County has the lowest unemployment rate in the state at 2.7%.
