TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Officials will continue their recovery efforts today in the Wabash River as they search for a woman who reportedly went in the water around 6 p.m. Wednesday night.
Terre Haute Police say that witnesses told officers they saw a female remove clothing and jump into the water.
She was last seen in the middle of the water near Fairbanks Park.
Sugar Creek Fire and Department of Natural Resources Officers launched water craft to search but were unable to locate the person.
Authorities have transitioned from search and rescue to a recovery mission.
