TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – Work to begin construction on a new convention center in downtown Terre Haute could soon get underway.

The Vigo County Capital Improvement Board will put construction for the project out to bid at the board’s next meeting on March 20^th.

Utility relocation could begin in May with construction starting in June.

Some of utilities that will need to be moved are located underneath 8th Street which the city council recently voted to vacate.
