TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Thursday afternoon another Mingle with the Mayor was held.
Several residents attended to ask questions and express opinions on various topics.
Mayor Duke Bennett gave an update on the proposed casino and said that the city could see several million dollars in income if it is built.
He encourages residents to call 311 to report pot holes and other road problems.
Bennett said that negotiations are on-going with the “Y” to reopen the pool.
He gave an update on the convention center and said that he was fairly confident that when state offices move out of their current location in a building on 8th Street, they will eventually wind up in another location downtown.
Bennett said that several projects are in the works and that down town could see some big announcements this year.
