VIGO COUNTY, Ind – The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of individuals claiming to be from the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office claiming the office has an arrest warrant for the recipient of the call and are demanding money to clear the warrant.

The scammers are using the phone number of the sheriff’s business line 812-462-3226.

The sheriff’s office does not call and demand money for warrants to be cleared nor any transactions.  Please contact the triad scam line at 812-231-1430 to report scam calls.
