VIGO COUNTY, Ind.- At the Vigo County School Board Meeting, Monday night the Vigo County Taxpayers Association endorsed the School Corporation Operational Referendum.
The referendum calls for a $7 million property tax increase to pay for several items including student safety, student health, transportation and competitive teacher salaries.
Superintendent of Vigo County Schools Dr. Rob Haworth says that he will continue to have community meetings to discuss the referendum and any questions residents may have.
He said those will be starting after Labor Day.
