VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – A Vigo County homeless man was arrested Sunday and appeared in court Thursday afternoon.

48 year old John Davis is facing multiple charges, including rape and domestic battery.

Police say that a woman at a homeless camp along the Wabash River claimed that Davis beat and raped her.

She claimed that she ran to a nearby house after she said she convinced Davis to let her go.

He is being in the Vigo County Jail on $50,000 bond and will appear in court on September 9.
