
VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Just before 5:00 a.m. Saturday (03/28/20) morning Vermillion County Police were called to SR 164 at CR 200 E after a truck struck a house.
Deputies say that the driver, 28 year old Jordan R. Lowry, of Clinton, told them that his brakes failed when he attempted to make the turn onto CR 200 E from SR 163. There were no reported injuries.

Officers found that Lowry was wanted in Parke County on a warrant. As officers continued their investigation, they suspected Lowry of being under the influence of an illegal substance. Lowry failed sobriety testing on scene. Lowry was transported to Union Hospital -Clinton where testing revealed him to be under the influence of marijuana, MDMA, and amphetamines.
Lowry was medically cleared and then taken to the Vermillion County Jail.
