SULLIVAN, Ind – A fire that destroyed a downtown Sullivan building early Monday is being called suspicious.
No one was injured in the fire at 12 N. Court St.
The building was unoccupied, with no active utilities hooked up.
The cause remains under investigation.
The building was owned by the city and was slated for renovation as part of a downtown redevelopment project.
Demolition of what is left of the three-story building will likely happen sometime later this week.
Some other nearby buildings suffered smoke and water damage.
