INDIANAPOLIS, Ind – Health insurance provider Anthem is being accused of duping the Medicare system out of millions of dollars.

Federal prosecutors in New York say that the company based in Indianapolis, knowingly submitted inaccurate information that resulted in payments it was not entitled to.

They claim the company treated its reviews of those claims as a “cash cow.”

The complaint asks for a jury trial which would determine the amount of damages.
