SPRINGFIELD, Ill – Wednesday the Illinois Department of Public Health announced 1,677 new cases of coronavirus disease in the state. There were also 192 additional deaths.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 84,698 cases, including 3,792 deaths, in 99 counties in Illinois. Edgar County is the only local county without a confirmed case.
