Terre Haute, In. – A Terre Haute-based legal firm is suing former North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn for breach of contract. The once-right-wing darling hired the Bopp Legal Firm to represent him in a suit that claimed he supported or possibly even helped plan the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Bopp is now suing Cawthorn for failing to pay nearly $200,000 in legal fees, plus interest. Bopp is a conservative lawyer known for his work with election and campaign finance laws. He has also served as deputy attorney general of Indiana and vice chairman of the Republican National Committee.
