This weekend on Focus on the Community, Dave Crooks interviews State Representative Tonya Pfaff, Democrat of Terre Haute. They will discuss the latest legislative proposals at the Indiana General Assembly.

Trust for America’s Health (TFAH) and their The State of Obesity: Better Policies for a Healthier America . The annual report provides state-by-state rankings of adult obesity rates, information on trends by region, age, gender and ethnicity, and policy recommendations for local and state government.

This year the U.S. adult obesity rate passed the 40 percent mark for the first time, standing at 42.4 percent – the highest ever recorded, an increase of 26 percent since 2008.

Indiana ranks 12th on the list. Reha Farberman talks about the study.
